People who don’t know what this means may be wondering and then imagine a potato sitting on a couch. This literally refers to a person who is addicted to television and becomes repulsive to physical activities. Ultimately they turn to be obese. People are born with a purpose in this world and they need to fulfill it. It should not be a case where “I was born, I lived, I died”. It should be “I was born with a meaning, I LIVED with a meaning and I will die with fulfillment”. There is a famous saying about the – on a tombstone. The – should be the best of what a person can be. This can never be achieved when a person is addicted especially, something like TV. Someone rightly called it the “IDIOT BOX”. There is lot of good things to be learnt from T.V, yet it should not turn into an addiction that leads to inhibition from reality. T.V broadcasts equally unnecessary stuff as much information it provides. People addicted to T.V watch the unnecessary stuff more. These are the people who are depressed of their life and without the courage to face their life, they surrender themselves to T.V. The solution lies in us. We must break the walls we have built and start LIVING. Irrespective of your age, get involved in a sport, hang out with family and friends, earn money through some source even if there is no necessity (money gives confidence), show off, dress up, dance, serve people who are in need, do your duty for people around you and LIVE.
