Hello friends. Have you ever seen the box office hit ‘Troy’? This film is a historic film which features the world’s biggest wars of the late history. When the word Achilles flashes before you, you get connected to Brad Pitt who played the role of Achilles in the famous movie Troy. But what does the term Achilles tendon related to? What is the relation between Achilles and his tendon? Confused? Here is the reason behind. According to Greek mythology fates, the goddess who controlled the destiny of people told Thetis a Greek woman that there baby would die young. Thetis took her child to the river Styx and gave a bath in the magical water to keep him safe from wounds. She held her son by his heel and dipped him in the magical water. The heel became dry and the rest of the body became strong. Achilles was undefeated in battles and wars. He grew up to be the possessor of the adjectives like bravest, handsomest and swiftest. He worked for the army of king Agamemnon. Though he fought in his army he never went in terms with the king. This is how the shortened version of Troy goes on.

This is how it continues when the world’s best fighter Achilles disobeyed the king. The king on the other hand couldn’t help but put up with Achilles’ stiff behavior because Achilles was the kingpin of his army and he knew very well that Achilles is unbeatable. He fought in the famous Trojan wars. During one of the invasions, Achilles captured a girl named Briseis. When his king took her away Achilles refused to fight anymore for Agamemnon. The king knew that it was difficult to win Troy without Achilles. Achilles agreed to lend his armor and chariot to his friend and cousin, Patroculous to lead the Greek army. Trojan warrior Hector killed Patroculous mistaking him to be Achilles. When he removed the armor he was disappointed and at the same time felt sorry for the killing of Patroculous. Achilles shed his tears on Patroculous and decided to seek revenge. He killed Hector and dragged his body by tying it in his chariot to the tomb of Patroculous. Hector’s brother Paris killed Achilles with a poisoned arrow .now wonder how Achilles was killed? He was shot at his tendon which was not immersed in Styx and which still remained weak. That is how the proverb “heel of Achilles” and “Achilles heels” came forth.

Dance is expression of our soul through our body language. When we dance we feel so light. All the stress flies away. It improves our confidence level to a much higher range. Dance removes the hesitation slowly. Once a person starts feeling that they really dance, no one can beat them. It may take time but it will happen one day. But it should not be taken to head. Ego is the biggest enemy and asset of any artist. If it crosses limit, the story will come to an end. A dancer must and will have a very good sense of music. Because there is a necessity to finish steps at the right beats. When you are happy, you dance. When you are depressed, you dance. When you are excited, you dance. Dance is outcome of emotions; or rather choreography is a pure outcome of emotions. A dancer should understand the emotional flow with which the steps were choreographed for music and the feel of the music composition. Dance involves moving the whole body, though it can be restricted to only hands, or only legs or only eyes if necessary. This generation has realized the importance and respect of dance. Media has played a major role by recognizing people. So anyone who is interested in dancing can take it up without fear. Dance can be taken up as a hobby, an interest, a part time, a fitness regime or even a profession. If not any of these, start dancing like noone is watching… the pleasure u would feel can be felt only by you. Music is all around you. Feel the beat and move your body. To dance is to hear your heart speak.

Microsoft is word that even a child knows today. Let us go behind a little, and know how it started. William Henry Bill Gates III was born on October 28, 1955. He is one of the most famous philanthropist, author and the chairman of Microsoft. He enrolled at Harvard University in 1973. In 1975 he dropped out of college. No wonder teen agers are inspired by him. Initially Microsoft entered the business with its version of UNIX called XENIX. However, it was DOS that made Microsoft famous. In 1985, a graphical version of DOS was introduced to the world, the WINDOWS. After that there has been no looking back… The Microsoft office suite, The Internet explorer, Windows 2.0, Windows 3.0, Windows 97, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Windows 8 is currently in development. The entertainment division of Microsoft produces the Windows mobile for PDAs and smart phones, XBOX 360 game console, the handheld Zune media player and MSN TV. Also the games like AGE OF EMPIRES and HALO are products of Microsoft. In addition it also manufactures hardware products. It produces its line of encyclopedia named “Encarta”. Microsoft plays a major role in the shaping of the future of computing and computing products. Two projects currently under research are “Microsoft surface” (advanced touch screen technology) and “Microsoft Courier” (booklet PC with stylus/finger input). In future if any other organization replicates or advances more than Microsoft, still the name and fame can never be erased. Though Apple is claimed to be user-friendly and advanced, still people prefer Microsoft due its beginning .THE BIG BANG!!

In communication, the words we choose and voice modulation is important. One other thing that matters most is our body language. It gives more expression to the communication. At the same time it should not affect the matter that has to be conveyed. If body language is not proper, it may give a negative effect. Hence it should be handled carefully. The part of the body that can be made best use of is our hands. We would have noticed people motioning their hands when they are emotional. But at times, people start moving their hands when they don’t get the right words. It would be nice to shows signs connected to their speech. Other than hands, eyes can be used as another weapon. Apart from eyes and hands, it would be inappropriate to use other body parts. Moving legs and shaking the hip will look good on very rare special kind of people. However moving head is also a good part of communication. When the speaker uses body language it will help to attract the listener. Also when a listener nods his/her head, it will encourage the speaker. It could create a comfortable atmosphere all around. In case the speaker is not interesting, that can also be indicated through body language of the listeners. If they yawn or start tampering with their hair or look down, it would be warning signals for the speaker and he can change his topic or mannerism.

Some are black.  Some are brown. Some are hazy. Some are grey. Some are purple. Wonder what I am talking about? Yes. It is about the color of human eye. We come across people with different colored eye not frequently but sometimes. Majority of people have black colored eyes. What is common in them? What is the difference that the differently colored eye owners possess? The human eye is round in color with a little bulge in the front part. The curve is scientifically termed as cornea. The function of the cornea is to allow light rays to pass through it. The cornea is transparent. The iris is the part of the eye that imparts color to it. The iris is located near the cornea. The regulation of the light entering the eye is controlled by iris and the cornea. The little black dot in the center of the eye is called as the pupil. The iris controls the size of the pupil according to the brightness f the light that is incident. Now we realize why we find it difficult to open our eyes facing the hot sun. This is very nice and will be great to see people having different colored eyes and this might attract the feminine gender.

Hello friends. Here we got to see about people having different colored eyes. This has become a fashion to wear different colored lens but here we are talking about the real eyes without any lens. The brightness is very large that the iris gets into a fainted state. The iris possesses a pigment that is used to protect itself from light. But only few people have it at the front. This imparts color to the eye. It absorbs the red and the yellow light waves as the rays of light pass through them. The remaining bounced of light at the rear end of the eye is mostly blue. And this is the reason why some people have blue eyes. If the front part of the iris also develops pigment it absorbs different kinds of light rays and the color of eyes depends on the light bouncing back from the rear end of the iris. Sometimes a person has blue eyes when young, but brown eyes later in life because it takes some time to develop pigment at the front end of the eye. But now there is no ill feeling that still prevails among some who desperately like colored eyes. Colored lens have hit the market decades ago. With technology and science developing human makes everything possible.
